Tule muistelemaan alakouluaikojen kirjontaa vohvelikankaan parissa! Vohvelikangaskirjonta on perinteinen kirjontatekniikka, jossa kuviot muodostetaan pujottelemalla lankaa vohvelikankaan koholla olevien ruutujen ja lankajuoksujen ali. Valmistuva työ voi olla esim. pöytäliina, saunapefletti, keittiö- tai käsipyyhe, jumppakassi, pienemmästä kankaasta lasinalunen jne.

Vohvelikankaan kirjontatapahtuma järjestetään keskustakirjasto Oodin (Töölönlahdenkatu 4) ryhmätilassa 6, ti 22.9. klo 17-20.

Voit tuoda omat kankaat ja kirjontalangat tai materiaaleja on myös valmiina paikan päällä. Tapahtuma on ilmainen Hyvien Marttojen/Alumnimarttojen jäsenille. Ei-jäseniltä pyydämme 5€ materiaalimaksun, joka pitää olla suoritettu ennen tapahtumaan tuloa. Maksuohjeet saat myöhemmin ilmoittautumisesi jälkeen.

Ilmoittaudu lomakkeella tästä. Lomake sulkeutuu su 20.9. klo 23.59. Pääsy mukaan tapahtumaan varmistetaan viimeistään tämän jälkeen.

In Finland this is a traditional primary school craft project. Come and try waffle fabric embroidery or refresh your skills! Waffle fabric embroidery is a technique where patterns are created by threading yarn or embroidery floss under the raised squares and floats of the waffle weave fabric. Your finished project could be a tablecloth, a sauna bench cover, a kitchen or hand towel, a gym bag, or a coaster made from a smaller piece of fabric.

Waffle fabric embroidery workshop will be held in Group Room 6 at the Central Library Oodi (Töölönlahdenkatu 4) on Tuesday, September 22, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

You are welcome to bring your own fabrics and embroidery threads, or you can use the materials provided on-site. The event is free for members of Hyvät Martat / Alumnimartat. For non-members, there is a 5€ material fee, which must be paid prior to the event. Payment instructions will be sent to you after registration.
